Ultralife lithium 9 volt battery last up to four to five times longer than alkaline 9 volt batteries.

These batteries come in 2 different versions  

The J version has an aluminum jacket and is best for use in smoke detectors, home security, parking meters and other outdoor applications where significant changes to temperatures or humidity The J version is slightly larger than a typical 9 volt so the FP version should be used in applications where the device cavity is tight.

The FP version has a plastic jacket and comes in a foil pack and is best for use in wireless microphones, medical devices and other indoor applications.

The J version is sold in quantities of 1 ($6.89 per battery), 10 ($5.99 per battery), 50 ($5.19 per battery), or 100 ($4.95 per battery).

 The FP version is sold in quantities of 1 ($6.85 per battery), 12 ($5.95 per battery), or 48 ($4.95 per battery).
